Covid-19 Procedures
When patients enter, they must come in with a mask; if you and I are six feet apart during the consultation, masks are not required. When doing work around the head, neck or shoulders, there must be a mask in use. However, during work on the lower back, legs and lower body, mask use is optional. If for any reason the patient feels concerned about removing their mask, please simply let me know and I will of course accomodate you.
A thermometer used to check the temperature for every patient upon entry, including the difference accounted for between outdoors and indoors.
I have air filtration through open windows. The sheets on the massage table are removed, and there is a moisture barrier on the face cradle and on the massage table itself in order to ensure there are no pourous surface retention underneath. All pillows have a plastic barrier around them. Cleaning solutions that are 80% alcohol are used after every patient on the table.
Every tool is wiped down with the 80% solution and is washed in a hot water solution; in addition, the table where all the equipment sits is covered by a glass, non-porous surface. Silicone Cups (take the place of glass cups) which are sued mifacial solutions (breaking up myfacial) are soaked and heavily cleaned with same solution.
All door handles are cleaned with the same 80% solution. The chair that the patient sits in is non-pourous, and it has been doctor modified specifically for no retention. This also gets wiped down after every patient to prevent transfer.
Walls are frequently wiped down and cleaned as well. The restroom is a small, single-occupation room that is also cleaned with the same thorough approach.
To make things even more secure, the room can only be accessed by being buzzed in. No one is admitted without my consent and I can control the flow of people into and out of my massage room.
